Winter Apiary is a second-generation, family-owned apiary proudly rooted in Evansville, Indiana, with the name Winter honoring our family lineage and the generations who came before us. With agricultural roots spanning five generations, we continue that legacy by stewarding one of God’s most extraordinary creations—the honey bee. We harvest raw, local honey in Southern Indiana through intentional, minimal-intervention beekeeping. Our bees are allowed to be bees—free to forage their own nectar and pollen as nature designed. We do not feed sugar water and do not use pesticides, choosing instead to keep the process as natural and true to the land as possible. The result is simply pure honey that reflects the integrity of the hive and the richness of our local landscape. Each jar delivers wholesome sweetness and serves as a reminder that “gracious words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body” (Proverbs 16:24).
